Work Study. Eligibility for Federal Work-Study is based on FAFSA calculations. The work-study aid awarded is the maximum amount students can earn per year. Students search for employment on Eagle Ops in late summer or at the beginning of the school year. Also, a work-study job fair is held on campus shortly after school begins, where students can look and apply for jobs.
In general, on-campus employment for international students means that you are working: On Emory's campus; For Emory; and; On Emory's payroll. If these 3 conditions are not met—for example, if you would be working on campus but a professor or an organization other than Emory University would be paying you—please speak with your ISSS advisor first.
There are many work study opportunities at Emory, but as mentioned above, you must have been granted work study in your financial aid package. There is a work study fair in the first few weeks of school where you can go and meet potential employers, pass out your resume, and set up interviews.

Work Study students are generally allowed to work up to 20 hours per week during periods of enrollment, and 40 hours per week during periods of non-enrollment. Information and forms related to student hiring including work-study hires and rehires, payroll schedules, and work study supervisor's handbook is available at the Office of Financial Aid.
